Bluto and Blutessa's relatives make an appearance in Olive's Shining Hour, an episode in the segment Popeye/The Adventures of Popeye from Hanna-Barbera's TV series The All-New Popeye Hour. They cheer on Blutessa and Bluto as they score points in their tennis match against Olive and Popeye.

- Both the fact that Bluto and Blutessa are a couple, and that their relatives all look identical albeit with minor palette changes, would seem to indicate that much inbreeding takes place in the family.
