No matter what kind of mistakes Privates Oyl and Goon make, it always turns out to be the answer for one of Colonel Crumb's problems. Sergeant Blast puts Olive and Alice the Goon on KP duty.

As usual, they foul up on every turn. After making a cake with gunpowder, it explodes, and Sergeant Blast is really mad. The Sergeant thinks that the Colonel is really going to be upset with the two, but he invites Olive and Alice to go have dinner in town with him. He also orders them to rearrange his rock garden with the pieces from Olive's biscuits.
