Philip Charles Snyder (born February 6, 1953) is an American actor, voice actor, university professor, Bible teacher, writer, producer and comedian. He was born the sixth child in a family of ten children. He began to demonstrate his love for and natural skills in entertainment, especially impressions, at an early age. Snyder moved to Los Angeles, California in 1974 to pursue a career in show business. After a few false starts, he became a regular paid performer at The Comedy Store. He began pursuing a career in voice-overs for animated cartoons and commercials. He lent his voice to the 1997 Popeye game entitled Popeye and the Quest for the Woolly Mammoth

  • Known as the Man on a Million Voices.
  • Snyder also did a commercial for Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits where he voiced Popeye, Olive Oyl and Wimpy, and for Premier Parks where he voiced Popeye, Olive and Bluto.
  • Snyder grew up near Portland, Oregon. When not skipping school to watch Popeye cartoons, he would be called to the head of his Catholic school class to perform routines taken from Alvin and the Chipmunks and the Smothers Brothers. One of ten children, he learned quickly how to make himself heard amid his siblings' chatter. When Snyder got old enough to leave home, he became a comic.
