It was reprinted in the Classic Popeye series published by IDW in 2012 and the Popeye Classics series published by IDW in 2013.

Synopsis

When Swee'Pea asks Popeye if pirates were ever in the area he says yes. Popeye then tells him to go out to play while he makes lunch. Popeye assumes Swee'Pea is playing pirates but then finds out that he has dug a huge pit around the house.
