Popeye Junior, or simply Junior (voiced by Josh Rodine), is a character appearing only in the 1987 TV series Popeye and Son. He is the child of Popeye and Olive Oyl following their marriage as seen in flashback in an early episode. He is the main character in the series, although he often has adventures together with his father. Eating spinach strengthens him as well, causing his limbs to grow as bulky as his father's. His main adversary is Tank, Bluto's son.
Continuity
Popeye and Son did not prove too popular, and all Popeye media since have chosen to return the characters to their classic incarnations and status quo. This also ensured that Junior's character would not be seen again in animation or any other form.
