The Champ (also known as the Swimmer Masher) was a boxing champion and a minor Popeye enemy.
Character history
Creation and development
The Champ was created by Famous Studios for the 1951 cartoon Punch and Judo. He also reappeared to torment Olive Oyl in the 1955 cartoon Cops Is Tops.
As with Bluto, the Champ was voiced by Jackson Beck.
